Preaching in Santa Rosa

It was a blessing to be able to travel a couple of hours into the jungle with my father this morning, and to visit the church where a good friend and fellow seminary student, Pastor Delfin, lives and ministers. This is only the second time that I have been able to visit, and it was a blessing to be part of the Sunday morning service. It is almost a two hour bus ride from Puerto Napo, and then a 5 minute ride on the back of a CMA motorcycle to reach the village. There was a good gathering of about 20 adults and young people, and at least that many children. By the grace of God, he allowed me to minister in song and to preach the Word this morning.

After the service, we sat around sharing a little, and then headed back to the bus stop. Another motorcycle got in an accident while we were waiting for the bus, thankfully, no one was injured in the crash. God provided safety in traveling back to my parents house, and from there traveling back to be with my family. It has been a long, but very fulfilling weekend, with the puppet ministry workshop yesterday, and the service and traveling today, but how great it is to serve God!! Ready for another week at the orphanage.
