Wonderful praise report from PucaChicta!

Sit down to read this one, and get ready to praise God!

Last Sunday, June 1st, sister Vicky (the first woman from the village to invite us to go and preach, who has been steadfast ever since) and her brother, Abram, who has also been faithfully attending, brought their mother to church in a very bad condition. She had fallen at her jungle farm, and was having trouble walking, and was fainting. She is elderly, and so any type of fall would not be good, but this one was a very big fall. We all prayed over her and she went home after the service, a little better.

After coming back from church, she kept getting worse, including having a seizure-like episode, and another son of hers (not a Christian) came and said that he would bring a witch doctor to heal her. Both Abram and Vicky stood firm, saying that that was not pleasing to God, and that they did not want the witch doctor to come anywhere near their house. Their brother left very upset, threatening them saying that if she died, it would be upon them! The spiritual warfare was getting more and more real with every hour!

On Wednesday, brother Luis and Edilma (the couple who are heading up the kids club and planting the church there) went to the community and visited the family. They had their mother lying in the bed, and the majority of the village had gathered to pay their last respects, as they said she would not last the night. Luis prayed over her, and she visibly started getting better, her breathing regulated, and she stopped talking deliriously. After that, they preached the word, and returned home. The rest of the village left for their homes too, we are told, awed at how still she had become, and saying (paraphrased) "No sense hanging around, she's not going to die tonight".

Today, Abram and his mother came to the front of the service and shared the powerful testimony of how God had miraculously healed her! She was talking coherently, walking, running, and even skipping around the church, saying how God had healed her!! Not only that, but an anointing fell over Abram as he was testifying, and we could see God has a calling on his life to serve him, preaching!!

We serve such an awesome, amazing God!!! Please keep this community and the others in your prayers! Witchcraft, demonic activity, and spiritual warfare are very real here..but greater is He that is in us!
