Now that the church family is meeting under the church roof, they have started to work and save up for the cement blocks to build the walls! Slowly but surely, as God provides, they buy more blocks and store them under the roof, until they have what is needed to build the walls!
This community, guided by Luis Ivan and Edilma, whom we left over them as church leaders, has a very great sense of ownership, which is always something that can be difficult on the mission field. So often, especially in second and third-world countries, villages can get used to receiving and start to expect that everything they need will be gifted to them.
Not PucaChicta! They are very content with the church building, and in part because they had a part in the actual building labor, a sense of ownership, they are giving of their part in keeping it maintained and in the continued building project!
They are also planning several different community projects to help raise funds for the church and congregation as well!
