Juliana
This afternoon we had the funeral for Juliana. Juliana is a very special young lady at Casa de Fe. Although she was unable to move, talk or even eat on her own, she had a way of reaching out and touching your heart with her ever present smile. It seemed like no matter what was going on, what difficulty that she was facing that day, she always had a smile that brightened your own. She was a favourite with visitors and teams that came through our doors, and as one person said, I believe that she touched more peoples lives than any other missionary here at Casa.
Juliana passed away on sunday evening, and we all look forward to seeing her in the arms of the Lord when we get there, not as we knew her, but as she has become, a perfect and healthy soul praising the Lord up there!
This is the second funeral in the year that I have been here at Casa de Fe, and admist the sadness and joy I was honoured to be able to share a few words and scripture at the funeral. There where 35 of us there, all 'family' of hers, workers, volunteers and some of the children from Casa de Fe.
Your prayers are appreciated for all of us, that those that still do not know our Saviour and have the 'blessed hope' that we do can find that trust in Him, and that the rest of us can continue on in obedience and faith, until the day when we are all gathered together in His arms in glory.
