More rain and flooding

This past Thursday it rained almost all night!! There was more flooding, although nothing major here in Shell. Unfortunately, not so around us. In Bella Vista, halfway between here and puyo, a house fell into the river because of corrosion, crushing two young men that were sleeping in the room. Also, there was flooding in Puyo, in the same parts as before, and another house fell killing two more people. And in a nearby community, a man was swept away while trying to cross a flooded river.

The water here at home has been coming and going, so we are back to catching rain water and using it.

Please pray for the whole Amazon region, the forecast calls for even more rain than January, for the whole month of February. If that is the case, we will be seeing more serious flooding than ever before.

As you can see in the pictures, they are still cleaning up from the last flood, and the river channels have been forever changed.
