Visa trip

So, it was a great trip to quito, where we were able to spend some time together as a family, and then headed to the embassy to apply for Cinthias visa.

The first part of the trip was great, we were able to travel up to Quito with the team that was leaving Casa de Fe, and so were able to spend some time with them, and also assist with some translating. We stopped at a tarabita, had a great lunch and spent some time at the center of the world, the place where the Equator runs right through Ecuador, near Quito.

On the following morning, we headed towards the embassy for Cinthias visa interview, where things did not go as we had expected them too. Her tourist visa was denied, and they do not say why, although we suspect it might have to do with the fact that both our children and myself are now american citizens. The process to get citizenship for Cinthia is quite long, and more likely than not requires living for some time in the states, and so we are really uncertain at this point as to what the next step is. Please continue to keep this in prayer, that God will provide both the means and the wisdom to do the next step, and the guidance as to what that step will entail. Our prayer is to be able to visit the states next summer as a family, to see relatives, and to share about the work that God is doing here in Ecuador. We really covet your prayers for this!!
