Earthquake!!!

Yesterday the earth shook quite hard here in Shell!! There was a 5.6 magnitude earthquake about 30km on the other side of Puyo, and it shook the whole house for a little under a minute. We were quite surprised, as we had never felt anything that strong here before...At first I thought that it was just the local bus that runs by the house and shakes it, only, there was no bus!! We left the house and saw the chain link fence and the electric wires all bouncing up and down, and a number of our neighbors also left their houses either into their yards or the street, as this was the strongest that Shell has felt in a long time.

There was no damage done here in Shell, but in Puyo and Macas a number of houses fell, and in one town a young girl died as the wall of her house fell on top of her. :-(
