Several new kids clubs!!
Since the beginning of the year, a number of new or growing kids clubs have come to us, asking for assistance in oversight, materials and prayers.
We are always delighted when someone comes and asks us for help! Our goal continues to be come alongside, teach and assist the national christians in their ministries teaching the children about a God who loves them, who mends broken homes, and who can give them hope and purpose in their lives.
There are over a dozen different clubs and Sunday schools that we work with now, giving materials and training sessions to the people who are faithful teaching each week. Our goal is not to be in charge, nor to call the shots, but to support in any way possible. We Are able to visit the different places, to make sure that the materials are being used well, and to do special activities with the kids, but the weekly teaching, planning and follow up are all one by the local people.
Another bing thing that we have been doing, apart from the individual teaching and workshops in the outlying communities, is one saturday a month do a large training session in Puyo, for all of the teachers, leaders and assistants that live close by. This has been going very well, with a lot of people who re already involved, or are interested in working with childrens' ministries. Today, we did a big training session on balloon figures, and where able to give a number of different clubs not only the training, but some materials to make ballon figures for the kids.
The last pictures of the slideshow are several of the different club leaders working together to do a children's outreach in the city of Banos, where we were doing an evangelistic event!!
