Last trip of the Year! Back to Karama

This past weekend I went back into Karama with a small group of people, to visit the pastor and the church there. It was a short, one night two day visit, but it was a very good and fun one!

We brought in enough food for the whole village to eat, and they served us some Guanta (jungle rat) soup. We had a great service there, and also had fun playing games with the children and the youth. The next morning we started out back home, concerned with all of the rain that had fallen overnight...the normal ford where we usually cross the river was to high, and we ended up having to shimmy across a log, that promised a dunk in the swift river for whoever misstepped and fell off!

All in all it was a great trip, and a great way to finish out the year!
